COMMISSION: Crossing Over

Here's a new piece I finished up yesterday:


I'm not very fond of crossover themes in erotica but I decided to be open about it when I took some commissions earlier this year. Hasukawa13 saw the opportunity to get me drawing Kim Possible/Danny Phantom crossover toonrotica, and thus my latest illustration features softcore lezzie with double MILFs - Dr. Ann Possible and Maddie Fenton (who may or may not have some sort of Ph.D. up her sleeve - I am not sure about this).

As you may have noticed, I've been - to put it lightly - quite absent from the toonrotica scene during the past two or three months or so. The bad news is that it's going to get even worse next year. Infact, you could even call it a "temporary-yet-not-that-short break". The plus side is that taking a break may help me come back with refreshed motivation and new ideas, which I think might often be a good alternative for just continuing to draw same old scenarios over and over again. Always look on the bright side of life!

Thanks for everyone who's been reading my blog and following my dirty scribblings. It's not over 'till the fat lady sings, but there's two thin ones doing a duet, so it strikes close.

COMMISSION: My Life as a Von Neumann Device: Character Sheet #1

I actually had this one wrapped up two days ago but I waited until I got an confirmation that Toonspew, the author of My Life as a Von Neumann Device, had received the pic. Most of these characters play a more prominent role in the upcoming sequel fic*, so this serves as a sneak peek of things to come.

Oh, and despite the title says 'character sheet #1', there's no '#2' or '#3' in works (although I'm not completely denying the possibility for extra pics in the future).

Coming up next: MILFs


*) the original XJ-10 appears in the original fic and Future Pteresa is actually a bonus inking of my own creation, so they don't really count. I suppose it would've made more sense to have Vega instead of Pteresa but whatever.

SCRAPS: MLaaVND Commission #1g - Pteresa

When designing new characters and revisiting old ones for Toonspew's fic, I couldn't help but toy around a bit. I usually took at least one day off from commission work every week to do something unrelated, but in the end I couldn't really steer away from it.

This is one of the results:


What you're seeing here is essentially a combination of my fascination towards a minor character in MLaaTR and a reference that probably no American gets. To put it short, I essentially had Pteresa dress up as a character from an obscure British soap opera. Yes, I think Viv was a total MILF.

I will soon release the actual commission itself, which is a single character sheet containing all the inkings side by side. I'm also aiming to release a layered version of it so that those of you wishing to colour these have a ready template with removable placeholder lines and backgrounds.

SCRAPS: MLaaVND Commission #1f - Brad and Tiff

These took a bit longer than expected since I had to do some redrawing from scratch.

Brad and Tiff are now spacefarers, and while they're reminiscent of some of the more famous pop culture icons of our age in this picture, they will be going through wardrobe and hairdo changes throughout their adventures... or at least Tiff will. Brad is sporting a modified JST-44 "Bradster" with a folding flash suppressor, while Tiff prefers a less powerful but more accurate Chi-9N scout pistol with with an incoherence limiter*.

GIFT ART: "You want some MILF with your cake?"

I didn't make a lot of fuss about my birthday, so it went by somewhat unnoticed. However, ThaMan didn't let it go and commissioned Shoogerbare (which you might remember for this Jessica Rabbit comic) to whip up a sweet pic with two of my favourite Pegs. I especially applaud the fact that we're seeing Peg Bundy art here which is something I consider to unfortunately be a somewhat non-existant delicacy despite so many people praising her hotness.

SCRAPS: MLaaVND Commission #1e - Misty

Expect her to pwn some hearts in the upcoming fic.

I actually finished this one three days ago, but I have a policy of not publishing the final pic until I've shown it to my customer and gotten a reply about it (this way I can make any possible "last minute changes" incase there's some minor issues that need to be fixed). The good news is that while waiting for a reply I managed to catch up with the remaining characters, so I now have only one character left to ink! However, the next one's going to be a double feature so it'll have to wait a bit... but not much.

The "lightning bolt" on Misty's hair is supposed to be an "anomaly" of some sort that appears on her hair in a more lighter colour and is not meant to have any visible ink lines if coloured. Once again I've supplied the published version with some placeholder lines for guidance purposes. When I'm done with all the characters, I will post versions that lack these lines. These may be used when properly colouring the characters.

In blog-related news: I'm aware that the Hottie Appreciation Box is lagging behind schedule. I'll try to update it ASAP (read: in a few days)...

SCRAPS: MLaaVND Commission #1d - Mr. and Mrs. Lee

Sorry about the delay. I recently caught a nasty flu of some sort (thankfully not of the 'swine' variety) but I'm already getting better.

Anyway, here's the most recent pic, this time featuring two characters, Mr. and Mrs. Lee:


Next one will have Ms. Fanservice (or at least that's how I see it).

SCRAPS: MLaaVND Commission #1c - June (XJ-9)

Another pic depicting June, this time as an XJ-9. She's supposed to look like a mold between Jenny and The Silver Shell. Again, there's some placeholder ink lines that are meant to pinpoint where to add shining effects. June's hands are currently coloured pitch black (just like Shell's), although this is likely to change in the final character sheet pic since we haven't decided about her colour scheme yet.

This is actually the very first character I drew for this commission.

The next pic will be a double release and will hopefully appear here in two days.

SCRAPS: MLaaVND Commission #1b - June (XJ-8)

Another one for tonight:


Meet June, the newest addition to XJ Series! She's in the original My Life as a Von Neumann Device, although her role will be much more prominent in the upcoming sequel. It will also explain why she's wearing a rather familiar-looking beanie.

Toonspew wanted me to try out an alternative design for the originally hulking Model 8 and suggested that I try out something in the vein of "ax-crazy loli".

Note that the visible "shine lines" are actually just rough placeholders, indicating the position and type of shine (think Silver Shell from the original series, the shining here is meant to be somewhat similar).

This marks the very first time I've actually illustrated an OC by someone else than me. Yup, exactly.

SCRAPS: MLaaVND Commission #1a - XJ-10

Change of plans. But first, some art as promised:


Some of you might be familiar with the fan fic called My Life as a Teenage Von Neumann Device, written by Toonspew. I reviewed the said fic last summer and found it to be enjoyable to read (which is quite rare for a guy like me who doesn't care for fan fiction that much). Anyway, when I informed that I was taking commissions, Toonspew ordered multiple pics based on the his fan fic and its possible sequel. The very first one was to be a character sheet, depicting eight characters from both fics (but mainly from the upcoming sequel).

Of course, you might wonder why it took me over three months to pump out a single black-and-white inking. The short answer is: stuff happened. The longer answer would be a tediously boring story about various real life events that conflicted my working schedule, various health problems I've had (conflincting medicine = ouch) and so on. But that's a thing of past now.

Now about the whole "change of plans" thing. The reason why you are seeing a single character instead of the complete character sheet is because Toonspew wished that I first release every character separately and then release the complete character sheet after that. I guess this is a good thing because that way you don't have to wait until I've inked all the characters.

This pic depicts Jenny in her XJ-10 form, which appears very late in Toonspew's fic. I based the pic heavily on the unfinished XJ-10 blueprints briefly visible in the MLaaTR Christmas Special and this piece by odaleex, with some of my own ideas thrown in the mix. Exactly what it says on the title!

I would've probably celebrated this occasion better if I weren't so busy. However, I do have some good news concerning my upcoming art: I've finished preliminary plans for my first six-part MLaaTR commission and I'm now working on the final pics. These illustrations will consist of one character sheet and five regular pics. I'm also thinking about releasing them separately instead of waiting until all six are complete.

ART/VECTOR TRACE: Paulina Is Pretty

On February 10th, LLtoon showed me this screencap from the Danny Phantom episode "Lucky in Love":


My first reaction was "fxfbltrppht".

My second reaction, however, was to create a quick pin-up directly based on the pic. This time I consciously decided to trace most of Paulina's body from the pic, although I decided to flip her face horizontally, slightly exaggerated her curves and made her clothes more revealing. I completed the pic in a few days and then proceeded to make an alternative nude version. A few days ago I returned for the pic and decidedly made a third alternative version depicting Paulina in her one-piece swimsuit.


The title is play on words "Pretty Paulina", which is the name of an erotic Danny Phantom fan comic by DarkDP.

This pic and its alternative versions were supposed to be part of exclusive art included in an art bundle which I essentially aborted to be able to concentrate on commissions. I have only showed it to a handful WWOEC members before and I asked them not to publish it or pass it on to others, so it should be new to most of you. However, the pic I originally premiered was in a much lower resolution as it wasn't really inteded for the public.

EDIT (the next day): I've reuploaded all three versions of the Paulina pin-up. I made the change suggested by GemLord into the swimsuit version of the pic, plus I cleaned up some "dirt" (accidental pixels) from the other two variants. I was tempted to start creating even more alternative versions of the pic but I had to restrain myself from doing so, otherwise I'd once again be stuck fucking around with one pic for an indefinite period of time. Maybe later this year...

DP Orgy Pic: The Aftermath

Now that Danny's Fantasy is out and I've slept over to the next day, I'm able to think more clearly and start going through some of the feedback I've gotten. Here's a bunch of notes and thoughts about all this:

* some of you were shocked when I mentioned that I had been thinking about quitting. I wondered why, because I stated that I was not going to do so. Then I took another look at my post and noticed I had forgotten the word "not" from it. Instead, it read that I will be quitting. This is not the case. I am NOT quitting, just toning down the amount I spend with my art (I don't want it to dominate my life as happened with the orgy pic). Anyway, my bad :P

* Danny was supposed to have a speech bubble too, but I eventually decided against it as it'd cover up a lot of space

* Sam is supposed to have a record player on her desk, but I left it out because I'm lazy :P

* the colours are 95% based on the actual episodes. Even though I could've used ready colour batches for characters I had drawn before, I decided against it as I wasn't happy with some of my original choices (e.g. how Ember looks in my pic of her). The sole exceptions are Desirée and parts of Danny (Fenton) - their colours are from my earlier works

* this pic is not a statement against Danny/Sam 'shipping.

* one viewer noted that Lydia's mohawk is placed sideways and that it is most likely a goof. This is not the case as that's how it really is drawn in the actual show too:

* speaking of Lydia, there are at least three "easter eggs" hidden amongst her tattoos. You may want to check out the hi-res version of the pic to properly able to spot each one of them

* here's a list of the above-mentioned easter eggs:

- MAX KORN, a MAD Magazine in-joke, found on Lydia's back (only partially visible, which means it can also be read as XXX PORN - I totally did that on purpose)
- a ghost from the classic arcade game Pac-Man, found on Lydia's right calf
- Lambda logo from Half-Life video game series, found near Lydia's right ankle (partially obscured by Danny's aura, so it's quite difficult to spot unless you check out the high-res version)
- a pentagram, right between the Lambda logo and the Pac-Man ghost

However, the duck-billed platypus on Lydia's arm is not an easter egg - that was actually in the show!

* Lydia is missing her nose ring. I left it out on purpose as I didn't really like how it looked when viewed from side

* the method I constructed the pic was that I drew multiple (I guess it would be around 9-10) different, smaller sketches which I then combined in Photoshop. After that I inked each sketch on a different layer and I also coloured each layer separately

* Some alternative lines for Sam:

"What the fuck, Danny? None of those names are mine!"
"This is the last time I am going to say it, Danny. No more crack."
"You haven't forgotten my name, have you?"
"If I don't hear my name soon, it's back to sticking your dick in the Fenton Thermos!"

* Desirée's name is written in the biggest letters for a few reasons: first of all, she's my favourite of the ghost girls and second, she's easily the centerpiece of the actual orgy section of the pic

* I consumed lots of energy drinks during the process of making this pic. During the two months I worked on the pic most intensively, I estimate that I emptied nearly 90 half liter bottles of energy drink. Not very healthy (I immediately halted consuming them the day after the pic was published)!

* at least one person thought about going back to Danny Phantom after seeing my pic. My advice: if you have really fond memories of the show, then consider not watching it again. I know it because I used to think it was one of the top contemporary Nick cartoons at the time I started watching it and when I went back to it again to prepare myself for the pic, I was surprised to find it wasn't nearly as good as I remembered :P the babes are hot, I give you that, but otherwise DP is a mediocre cartoon

* I'll be able to start with the commissions in 1-1½ weeks. I still have one more release to finish during that time

* there's going to be some changes to the site: the poll will be removed completely until I can find an alternative one that cannot be abused by anyone (including myself), Hottie Appreciation Box will switch from monthly updates to quarterly, Random Crap might be removed and the site layout will be changed to something different. I'll also be adding a new banner soon-ish


I might make some additions to this post later on if something comes up.

ART: Danny's Fantasy

No, you're not hallucinating. That really is the orgy pic. However, it's the smaller resolution release because the original .PNG version was slightly over 3 megabytes in size, so... yeah. I actually tried to create .JPEG copies but I was not able to retain the overall quality. I was probably doing it wrong, but whatever.

Of course, I made these alternative versions, without cum and/or pubes:

I can't believe I've finally managed to complete this fucker. In the end it had become somewhat of a time-consuming nuisance that really made me rethink about spending all my free time scribbling toon porn. While I'm definitely NOT going to quit drawing toonrotica, I'll most likely tone down the time I spent for it after I've finished all the commissions and I'm definitely not going to draw another huge orgy pic anytime soon (perhaps in 201X or something).

Anyway, enough whining! The pic is out and hopefully you'll like it :) also, if you find something you consider to be a mistake, please inform me as it's probably never too late to fix it.

REFERENCE: Danny's room

I'm currently creating the secondary background for the DP orgy pic, meant to be the scenery for the Danny/Sam part. I originally envisioned Danny's room to be the place for love-making, but right now I'm switching it to Sam's place, as I feel it is more "sexier" in a certain way.

I did manage to draw a few posters and some tiles, plus the rough outlines of Danny's closet. Here's a snippet of it, presented in the original working resolution:

REFERENCE: The unnamed character that will appear in the orgy pic

They never stated her name in Danny Phantom, which has lead me to call her either "that other female Circus Gothica ghost" or "Spider Woman" due to her ability to walk on a rope on all fours, even upside down. I chose to draw her in her human form since I found it to be more attractive than her ghost form.

I wonder if they ever even had any proper name for her.

TEXT: The Large Problem

As I'm writing this text, I am engaged in an argument at /co/ about the subject of Danny Phantom toonrotica. I was requested to draw a pic of Jack Fenton doing his wife, the always delicious MILF Maddie Fenton. I replied with a playful "do I really have to", although there was some seriousness in my reply as I didn't really want to waste a Maddie pic by pairing him with Jack. Anon soon replied "You draw her with VLAD, dude. WTF?!"

Naturally, I asked what the problem was and I received a rather simple reply: "it's Vlad". Of course, that still doesn't answer my question. Why is Vlad a problem? Is it because of how he looks? Is it due to his actions in the final season? Am I pissing off yaoi fan girls by shattering their dreams about Vlad/Danny 'shipping by reminding of the harsh canon where Vlad obsesses over Maddie and is madly in love with her instead of her son?

Anyway, now I'm going besides the point. That is, my refusal to draw Jack Fenton in an erotic situation. Why?

Three reasons:


1) Jack's usually a bumbling idiot and a continuous source for slapstick humour in the series. One of the jokes is that he's not really much of a romantic type, at least not the correct type. Sure, he loves his wife and all but he's far from the sort of type you'd imagine getting physical with his wife. I usually tend to avoid totally random pairings in my art - you know, the sort of soulless crap you usually see on those cheap-ass paysites. I want my art to have a bit of meaning, a small story or some sort of reason behind the pic. You can't really achieve that with Jack, it doesn't have the same effect behind it.

2) his body structure is essentially that of a very large square. And since it's very large, it can block other characters from view. This can be circumvented by using poses where he's mostly in the background, but it may quickly become repetitive.

3) as sort of a continuation to my previous point, Jack's looks are simply just too non-appealing for toonrotica. Some of you might argue that it doesn't matter since you'll all be looking at the female characters anyway, but putting all the homophobia besides for a few seconds, I beg you to seriously think about it: would you really want all male porn actors to be overweight, hairy and greasy instead of usually taking care that at least one of those aspects won't be associated with them? I know some people that can't get over Ron Jeremy despite him starring alongside some of the more legendary porn starlets of all time. Same thing with Jack Fenton.


Anyway, I now hope that you understand my point. I also suspect that other artists feel the same way, as it might be one of the reasons why Maddie usually gets paired with Danny in toonrotica.

I might do a Jack/Maddie pic someday, though, although it'll probably work as more of a gag pic (heh, maybe even literally, if you catch my drift). I might also do a Ron Jeremy comparison there by giving Jack a monstrous cock which drives Maddie crazy of pleasure. The whole thing will probably be dedicated to Turk128. Just don't wait for that pic to appear in the next, say, eight months or so.


EDIT (3/2): ThaMan commented on this post on his blog. Check it out, he raises a pretty good point in defense of those who want to see some Jack/Maddie art. I do have to argue that I wouldn't expect such reasons for the pairing from Anonymous, hence why it never even crossed my mind in my original post.

TEXT: Fan Fic Review: Phantom Desires

Phantom Desires (zero stars)
(Written by MasterDragon21; starring Dani Phantom, Ember McLain and Danny Fenton; 2009)

Some optimists say that no matter how bad a fan fic may be, it can still be salvaged by the means of "MST'ing" it. For those who are not familiar what this means, it's basically writing a witty and sarcastic "commentary track" that makes fun of the original work, making it instantly entertaining and, in some cases, actually readable. Note that I call these people optimisists, as they apparently haven't read MasterDragon21's fics.

Phantom Desires is this person's yet another example of his numerous (and futile) attempts of becoming an official author for the WWOEC community. This time he tries to tell us a Danny Phantom-themed lemon of what I believe is about how Dani Phantom (the female clone of Danny Phantom) and Ember McLain (the one-hit-wonder pop star ghost) are in search for love. However, there isn't much of a search going on as the answer comes to them almost instantly after they start pondering over their problem out loud.

To save you the trouble of reading the fic I can reveal that they both realize they're in love with Danny but don't actually get to have sex with him as he's suddenly gone to Florida. Instead, we have a quick fight scene with Dani and Ember but without any punctuation marks whatsoever, which then turns into lesbian pity sex after Ember finds out about Danny's whereabouts and Dani decides to console her. The fic ends abruptly before we get to any read any action, which may actually be a good thing considering the overall quality of the writing.

I've read lousy fanfics a many during my lifetime and while the MST'ing rule applies to surprisingly many of them, MasterDragon21's fics are a notable exception to that. The writing is so chock-full of grammatical errors that it should easily inspire hundreds of Plus4chan's drawfags to illustrate gay rape pornography of an English dictionary getting it into every possible hole. The characters recite their boring lines without any emotion, and to be honest they don't even feel like the original characters but rather some cheap, Chinese-made bootleg version of them. You know, like those Dragonball Z figures that are badly painted and may sometimes lack body parts (do a Google search for "flying headless Goku" for a good example).

While you cannot deny the fact that a fan fic writer will, more or less consciously, put his or her fantasies in their stories, it requires skill and talent to pull off a vignette that is more than just a text dump depicting character A and character B having a sexual act of some type. A good, ambitious story both explains the reasons for them having sex and makes it seem believable to the readers – this means you can give a character a paper-thin or even illogical reason to act a certain way, but it won't matter if it makes sense for the character to make that kind of decision. As a writer, MasterDragon21 fails in every aspect: Dani and Ember just suddenly have a vision of Danny after whining a bit about how they want to fill that void in their empty lives, and then eagerly decide to go on a little trip to fuck him senseless. After all, isn't love synonymous with sex?

If you're still thinking about MST'ing this fic, just forget about it as it would be completely useless to do so. Unless, of course, you want to have Mike and the 'bots just staring in silent awe at the horrifying train wreck of Phantom Desires. This fic excels in inexplicably horrible grammar, non-compelling story and cardboard characters so well it defies all common logic. In that sick and twisted way, it is a masterpiece.

Oh, and in case you didn't notice, this is just part one of what I assume is a trilogy of these stories. "Knowesting" (yes, that's how he writes 'knowing') MasterDragon21, he will most likely be more than happy to finish the story, contributing yet another hapless accident to a community that just wishes he'd cease his attempts at writing comprehensible sentences in English language. Avoid this fic.

I have some good news and some bad news.

The bad news is that I'm currently sick and I'm unable to go to work. Of course, this probably means that I'll continue my job either on February 23rd or March 2nd for a few more weeks (which means that I can properly get back to drawing around mid-March).

The good news is, this means that I can spend my time drawing. I've done a bunch of sketches for this particularly large pic and I now have a pretty good idea of what I'm going to do with it. I'm currently sticking to my original plan to have three of Danny's female ghost enemies there, plus Sam, although I may add more ghost girls if I'm able to fit them there. TBH, I actually started drawing the the first draft of the pic two weeks ago but the results didn't really please me that much as the pic had some really awful proportion problems and wonky perspective issues.

Anyway, I'm currently browsing thru Danny Phantom episodes to look for scenes where I can see Danny close to some of the ghost chicks so that I'm able to view their height differences and compare their body proportions, like the sizes of their heads and so on. Of course, as Sam and Tucker are of the same exact height with Danny, I can also use shots where they are seen with the ghosts instead of Danny. I'll be posting such caps and collages under this post in case you guys need to have something like that in the future too.

Currently there's just a few of them but I might upload some more later on.

NOTE: The crude Desirée collage is something I put together as early as 2007 when I was still doing practicing as I felt my art was still too sub-standard for publishing. I eventually used it again when I drew the infamous "Desirable" pic. Yes, I actually used a Wagner pic for reference. Suck on that, /co/.
